The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) in collaboration with partnership with the Private Sector Federation (PSF), Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE), Rwanda National Investment Trust (RNIT) and BK Capital, engaged hundreds of entrepreneurs in Rwanda’s Western and Northern provinces to promote access to long-term capitals.
Last week, the second edition of the Capital Markets Roadshows took place in Rusizi on 27 October, Rubavu on 28 October and Musanze on 29 October 2026. The events introduced businesses to opportunities to raise funds through shares and corporate bonds.
In Rubavu, Western Province Governor Jean Bosco Ntibitura urged entrepreneurs to develop viable investment projects and explore alternative sources of finance to expand their businesses and create jobs.
The CEO of CMA, Romeo Ngarambe stressed the importance of good corporate governance, financial transparency and sound business plans to attract investors. Ngarambe said: "Raising capital through the markets does more than provide financing. It strengthens corporate governance, improves disclosure, and reinforces financial discipline."
In Musanze, Northern Province Governor Maurice Mugabowagahunde encouraged entrepreneurs to explore available investment opportunities. He noted "Entrepreneurs with viable projects should not be discouraged by a lack of capital. They should identify available opportunities and make good use of them."
The roadshows also featured advisory sessions where entrepreneurs received practical guidance on how to raise capital, meet regulatory requirements and attract investors.
The events helped businesses understand capital markets opportunities and connect with market experts. They also sought to broaden access to long-term finance, support business expansion and create jobs.
The roadshows will continue in the Southern and Eastern provinces before their final event in Kigali on 25 November 2026.
