CMA Rwanda Publishes Annual Report for the 2024/25 Financial Year

The Capital Market Authority (CMA) has published its Annual Report for the 2024/25 financial year. The report presents CMA’s contribution to Rwanda’s capital market and its alignment with national priorities under Vision 2050 and the National Strategy for Transformation (NST2).

It sets out progress across regulation and supervision, product development, and investor outreach. Key areas include wider access to capital-market instruments, stronger oversight of licensed entities, and measures that support investor confidence through financial education and public awareness.

During the year, CMA introduced regulatory reforms that strengthen market order, improve governance standards, and widen financial inclusion. The Authority prioritised transparency, investor protection, and broader participation, with particular attention to youth, women, and rural communities.

The report also notes the role of partnership across the ecosystem. CMA worked with market participants, public institutions, and international partners to deliver technical support and outreach activities that simplified capital market concepts and encouraged a stronger culture of saving and long-term investment.
