CMA Rwanda joins Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange’s 30th anniversary celebrations

The Chief Executive Officer of the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) of Rwanda, Romeo Ngarambe joined regulators, stock exchange operators and policymakers from across the East African Community (EAC) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) held on 3 July 2026.

The anniversary marked three decades of the DSE’s contribution to the development of Tanzania’s capital markets and the country’s broader economic growth. It also provided an opportunity for regional stakeholders to reflect on the progress made in strengthening capital markets and advancing financial integration across East Africa.

CMA Rwanda’s participation in the celebrations reflects the strong and growing collaboration between Rwanda and Tanzania in the financial sector. Both countries are active members of the East African Securities Regulatory Authorities (EASRA), through which regional regulators continue to promote harmonised regulatory frameworks, cross-border investment and deeper capital market integration within the EAC.

Regional cooperation remains essential to building accessible, transparent and resilient capital markets capable of mobilising long-term financing and expanding investment opportunities across member states.

CMA Rwanda congratulates the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange on its 30th anniversary and recognises its contribution to Tanzania’s economic development. The Authority also reaffirms its commitment to supporting a unified and resilient East African financial ecosystem that serves investors, businesses and economies across the region.
