CMA Reaches 3,000+ Students on Investing in Rwanda’s Capital Market

The Capital Market Authority (CMA) took Rwanda’s capital market message to the University of Rwanda at the Fourth Edition of the Annual Career Summit 2025. CMA presented the market as a source of long-term finance and a clear route to careers and wealth creation for young Rwandans.

CMA met more than 3,000 students and set out how capital markets support business growth, job creation, and wider economic progress. The discussions positioned students as future professionals in the sector and as future investors who can grow savings through regulated products.

CMA also set out the range of roles across the capital market ecosystem. These include regulation and supervision, investment advisory and brokerage, asset management and collective investment schemes.

The Authority noted that the sector needs skills beyond finance. Demand also extends to economics, law, data, technology, communications, and client service.

CMA said campus outreach helps build a financially informed generation that understands saving and investment through trusted channels. As Rwanda’s financial sector grows, continued engagement with young people will support wider participation and stronger market institutions.
