On 8 July 2026, the Chief Executive Officer of the Capital Markets Authority of Rwanda, Romeo Ngarambe paid a courtesy visit to the Director General of the Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority, Evariste Rugigana, as the two institutions explored ways to strengthen cooperation and advance shared regulatory priorities.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss areas of mutual interest and consider practical avenues for closer institutional collaboration. Their talks focused on how regulatory bodies can work together more effectively, exchange knowledge and support initiatives that contribute to the country’s economic development.
Both institutions play important roles in Rwanda’s development agenda. The Capital Markets Authority oversees and promotes the development of a fair, transparent and efficient capital market, while RURA regulates public utilities and selected service sectors.
